FAQ
What technology is necessary to carry out the project?
How do I manage the chaos of the students while they are experimenting?
What if I am not familiar with the Movie Maker program?
- Microsoft Movie Maker, which is a basic Windows program that is installed on most computers.
- A camera or video camera to capture video images (even a cell phone camera will work, if needed.)
How do I manage the chaos of the students while they are experimenting?
- Try the divide and conquer method. We tend to station one teacher inside monitoring the hallway, another outside monitoring outdoor experiments, and the third in the computer lab monitoring student work.
What if I am not familiar with the Movie Maker program?
- Offer your students a choice between an oral presentation, a Power Point, or a movie. The movies do tend to turn out very well, but the other options will allow some flexibility. You will very quickly learn the ins and outs of the program. Just ask your students to help you!
